16 Years of Helping Realtors
“Do you think you could come over to my listing and help my sellers with their house and, do the thing you do, you know, you’re thing?” That inquiry over 16 years ago would be the beginning to an adventure of helping 1000’s of home sellers, and their Realtors prepare to go on the market.
As I celebrated the end of 2020 and welcomed 2021, I begin closing out the previous year and calculating our stats. It became clearer than ever to my team and I, that we truly have built something that works! And oh boy does it! Some questioned whether it was working in a pandemic and in a market as we just experienced; we are celebrating our best year ever! So did our realtors!
I never imagined that I would be on the receiving end of a phone call from a home seller telling me that not only did their house sell so quickly and with multiple offers; which we do hear often, but here is the best part…they accepted an offer for over $50k over asking!... insert happy dance!!! This seller and realtor were even a little reluctant to do the staging because the market was perceived as hot, but as the saying goes, “Staging helps houses sell faster, and generally for more money”.

You hear people say, “It’s the little things”. Yes, it is. As I am reflecting at the last 16 years that I have been working with Realtors and their clients, pioneering the way for Professional Home Staging into the Black Hills, I cannot help but think back to my first years and how things have changed. In a business you must adjust to the times, the market, and the consumers. As a Designer and Home Stager, you must also adjust to the ever-changing design spectrum and find a way to make it work for the masses. The one thing that has not changed in all of this is our goal to add value to our Realtors’ listings and to assist home sellers in a friendly and comfortable approach. I cannot imagine any other career because sharing my expertise to help others, has brought and continues to bring me pure joy.
Thank you to all the Realtors, their clients, and my team for this amazing journey! I am looking forward to the next 16 years and continuing to do something that I love so much and to be blessed to work with such wonderful people! Happy 2021 everyone, looking forward to the Next Best Year Ever!
